This is the start of a FAQ, Frequently Asked Questions.
1) What software do I need to play the videos?
- The latest version of Apple QuickTime (version 7.2 or greater) is required to the play the videos in your browser.
- If you download a video (save it to your computer), you have the option of using the awesome VLC player
- This will change shortly when Adobe releases the new version of Flash Player, that can play H.264 mp4 videos.
2) Can I download the videos to my computer?
- Yes there are download links underneath each video.
3) Will your videos play on my video iPod?
- Actually no one has asked this, but yes they will play on your iPod. Just drag them into iTunes into the 'movie' folder and 'sync'. By the way you can then hook your iPod up to your television with a simple cable and watch the videos on your television.
4) Will you be making a data DVD?
- Yes a data DVD will be released soon (by October 14). This will be a 2 disc set containing all the videos I shot at FCI 2007 in high definition encoded at 960x496 resolution, H.264 mp4 format, about 2000 kbs. They look AWESOME! Follow this link for a sample. These videos will not play on older computers. This DVD is not meant to be played on a television. These videos will play on Apple TV.
- For people who can't play the HD video mentioned above, there will also be a Data DVD with all the runs from FCI 2007 in 640x320 resolution. The exact same videos on the website.
5) Will you be making a video DVD to watch on my television?
- Maybe. If I do a video DVD, it will be an edited version of FCI 2007. This will take some work though. But yes this is the plan. I will hopefully have something to announce by December, if not sooner.
6) Can I put one of your videos from FCI 2007 on my own website?
- Yes you may use one of the videos from FCI 2007 on your own website.
- If you are the actual competitor in the video, then you can use all your videos from FCI 2007 on your own website.
- This is assuming you paid for access to the premium videos.
